How You Can Help
Looking after orphaned and special needs bunnies at Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage
is a full time occupation, not to mention a rewarding yet significant
commitment. We rely on funding support to continue to provide vet care
and preparation of the bunnies for rehoming. Apart from Adoption and Fostering
there are other ways that you can help through
sponsorship. membership, volunteering, donations and contributions from
our wish list.
Sponsorship Packages
We have a range of individual and corporate sponsorship options available.
Sponsorship packages are ideal as a tribute to your bunny or as a gift
for family and friends at Christmas, Easter, for birthdays or any time
of the year
Sponsoring is Easy...
If you are interested in sponsoring
• Please review the CORPORATE or INDIVIDUAL sponsorship packages
• Fill in the CORPORATE or INDIVIDUAL form and
• Return it with your cheque or money order. Alternatively you can pay through the donate button on this site and mark your payment as sponsorship.
(Allow up to 14 days for delivery of your sponsorship pack).
Membership
Membership with Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage is $30 a year for an individual membership or $45 a year for families. This money goes towards the continued care of our bunny orphans. Members receive:
- A membership card
- Annual email newsletter
- Ongoing email, telephone and face to face support and advice regarding responsible rabbit ownership and care and referral to our network of bunny savvy vets and other services.

MEMBERSHIP FORM
and either email or post it to us. You may pay by money order,
cheque or through the donate button on our website. We review all new
memberships in the first week of each month.
Volunteering
Becoming a Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage volunteer is a great way to help
our orphan bunnies, a great way to meet new people and to extend your
existing skill base and understanding of rabbit care. Cleaning the bunny
enclosures and spending time with the bunnies is an essential daily activity
that must take precedent over all other activities. However there are
many other areas where assistance is also required.
The areas of volunteer work are unlimited and some activities can be undertaken
by volunteers off site such as fundraising activities and our in store
information promotions.
Other areas in which volunteers can assist include general administration
activities for Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage charity. Volunteers can assist
with monitoring and support of pets and carers in our foster care program,
caring and monitoring the bunnies in our adoption centres within retail
outlets, providing casual information and advise in rabbit care within
these retail outlets. database development and management, media relations,
bookeeping, assisting us with our website, vet visits, general errands,
fundraising, distributing donation tins, transport - you name it!!!

Wish List
If you are unable to volunteer time to Rabbit Run-Away orphanage
but would like to do something to assist please see our wish list below
as there are always many different ways that we could use in hand in caring
for our orphan and special need bunnies. We can always do with donations
of goods to assist in caring for our orphan and special need bunnies or
raising money for their care. Some of our wish list items include
- oaten or grass hay
- fresh salad greens
- pre loved towels, face washers, bath mats, hand towels
- small soft toys or chew toys that bunnies can toss, chew or play with
- bunny or cat tunnels, beds and houses
Donations
Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage is a registered non-profit organisation which
has been endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible. Donations are
used to provide housing, bedding, food, medical treatment for our bunny
orphans and long-term re-homing solutions.
Donations can be made through the PayPal link on this site; cheques and
money orders can be made out to Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage Inc. Alternatively
internet bank transfer is available.
