The Orphanage is continually challenged to meet vet bills to care for the 168 special needs rabbits.  We are reaching out for your help.  Do you have a skill? baking, sewing, or an artistic skill.  Can you run a fundraiser day utilising your skill and donating proceeds from the day to the Orphanage for the care of the bunnies? Can you donate your birthday?

Help us Fundraise by running your own unique fundraising event

The bunnies need you and your creativity

Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage continually struggles to meet the ongoing vet care for the rabbits with health challenges in their extensive foster care program. They receive no assistance from government and have not been eligible for financial support during COVID, as rabbits are not covered under the Domestic Animal Act.  Their foster program is the only one of its kind in Australia.

Your contribution to this cause would mean that the charity can continue its valuable work looking after the most helpless and discarded animals like Lara.

Donations are Tax Deductible.

Winston's Challenge Intersection Collections

Our intersection collection fundraiser was renamed “Winston’s Challenge”after the sudden death of Winston, who died on Christmas morning 2014.

Winston was a very courageous special needs bunny who battled and overcame many severe stages of dental abscesses.  He remained stoic until the end.  Winston’s challenge will support the vet care of bunnies like Winston.
